MEET YOUR FARMERS AND RANCHERS

We know personally, or have come to know based on personal referrals, all of our vendors here at Eden's. Here is your chance to get to meet them before you come out and shop from them. We think you'll find them all enchanting, warm, sincere and hard working folks who have you and your family's best health in mind.

All of these farmers/ranchers/producers may not be able to attend every market due to other commitments. Many offer the opportunity for you to pre-order items from them. This is not only a good way to assure you're favorite cut of steak or eggs will be waiting for you, but a show of support that they'll have some product sold for some of them who travel a bit of a way to come.

Most of our farms and ranches are within less than 100 miles of our farm in Balch Springs, but a few come further to help fill the void in the metroplex of "clean" farms growing produce.

CHEROKEE POINT RANCH

Grass Fed, No Hormones/No Antibiotics all natural living like cattle should live - out on the pasture, eating grass on naturally maintained prairies.

Cherokee Point Ranch is a family owned and operated working cattle ranch just down the road a bit, south of the metroplex in Ennis, Texas.  We raise all natural grass-fed beef.   We do it the natural way.  We start with soil enrichment using organic fertilization of our pastures. Our cattle graze free range and we manage the grazing pattern of our livestock to enhance the growth of the pasture, the health of the land and nutritional value of our product. Pre-order your favorite cuts here.

MOSS GATHERS FARM

Carol Moss grows Certified Naturally Grown heirloom vegetables, herbs, melons and pears on less than an acre in Collin County. The land has been organically managed for 25 years.

Carol established the farm in 2004 using permanent raised beds enriched with compost, companion planting of flowers and herbs to encourage beneficial insects and practicing seed saving to grow and preserve heirloom varieties for today and for the future.  I've known Carol for a couple of years and learned many farming tips from her.

Come taste the fruits from a local, hard working farmer!

Welcome Bedford Bakery! Sonja Sarr-Steinbach is a personal friend of the farm and a fellow horse lover/owner. In her spare time, when she's not rescuing and caring for wild Mustangs, gardening or playing with her dogs, she is baking and cooking!  Now in the process of opening her own bakery in Bedford, Sonja prepares tasty home baked organic goodies just for Eden's Market customers.  Come see the beautiful and delicious breads, pies and other baked items available.  Your sweet tooth and bread knife will be glad you did.

Texas Daily Harvest

Our first USDA certified organic dairy & produce farmer joins Eden's Market Day lineup. They are a family grass based certified organic farm in Yantis, TX.

They'll bring us pasteurized milk ( but not homogenized so you still get some cream on top), and cheese, butter, yogurt, pasture chickens, seasonal produce, hay, and organic feed.

And of course, everything is organic.

(and we can say that for them officially, because they have paid to be certified by the USDA to use the "O" word.)

Send Kris an email to preorder your milk, butter, yogurt, eggs or cheese. (See Availability List Here!)

Rhineland Farms

Rhineland Farm is a family operated farm in Glen Rose that is committed to providing fresh products and a comfortable atmosphere for themselves and their animals. As available, Samantha's family will provide clean, whole chicken, various produce and value added products.  Rhineland Farms isn't at every market as they host a market in Glen Rose 2x a month, too.

Call to preorder your chicken or eggs and to see what weeks RF will be at Eden's

Samantha Rebstock  254-396-5866

Rhineland Farm is also a great destination location for a "pick-your-own" family adventure!

EPPS Family Farm

A fellow TOFGA member, Frank, Jane and Sarah growing on ten acres in Calvert, TX.  Crops include; blackberries, sweet corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, zucchini, potatoes, sweet potatoes, okra, mustard greens, carrots, spinach and some beans. They are a bit south of our growing schedule, so they should have some early warm season things before we have them up here in north Texas most years.
